Sure, if you take the word 'interaction' completely literally then playing against spell decks is like 99% their cards interacting with your cards. That's a fairly disingenuous take on the actual complaint though. You just have to sit there, playing cards for no real purpose, and wait it out to the end of the game. Coupled with the fact that most control decks heavily depend on weather (which has a frustrating counterplay mechanic) there's very little enjoyment to be had for the 'aggressor' outside of getting lucky and having the right counter at the end of the game.Īnd you don't ever run into the scenario of conceding after a short game because you couldn't kill him. It's all just the bad feeling of being stopped in your tracks constantly. When playing against a control deck that doesn't play units, not only are a lot of your cards suddenly sorta worthless but you also never get the elation of breaking through their defenses and killing them anyways. Most of the cards in the game are made to build board, either by putting down stats or interacting with the opponents board. This isn't a game where the aggressive deck tries to kill the opponent and the control deck tries to stay alive.
